In this role, you will be responsible for
management of all customer impacting incidents within Blizzards global IT services. The primary focus of incident management is the full restoration of systems in the least amount of time possible. In other words, our primary job is to maximize system uptime.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for testing, storage management, backup and restore, software license and license server management, automation of any and all tasks that can be automated.
In this role, you will support the organizations hosted VoIP environment for local and remote users. Audit and deploy OS and application security and feature updates on equipment managed by Systems in consultation with Senior Systems Administrators.
The Linux Administrator will work as part of a high-caliber team of experienced Systems Administrators, Network Administrators and DBAs to ensure uptime, availability, and performance SLAs are met in an environment that is constantly evolving and expanding.
The candidate will troubleshoot and fix problems related to engineering computing software and hardware. The candidate's duties to include, but are not limited to: workstation installation/configuration, network management, user accounts and environment setup, software configuration, workstation relocation, storage management, backup and restore, software license and license server management, automation and notification, data and access security management.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for communication conduits between disparate stake holders during incidents ensuring each stake holder is informed of the state of the issue and that each stakeholder.
