The Associa On-Call Estimator will be estimating new construction, remodeling, repairs and tenant improvements for communities throughout San Diego County, Riverside County and Inland Empire. The Construction Estimator will be required to travel to the communities.
The job will require all stages of bidding on projects, including but not limited to: determining Union requirements; determining bid schedules; reviewing job specifications; visiting job sites; attending pre-construction meetings; reviewing contracts; maintaining bid process schedule and communicating bid status; choosing best options for systems/materials; soliciting and reviewing vendor and subcontractor quotes; performing labor reviews; maintaining bid spreadsheet.
In this role, you will ensure that all estimates, schedules, value engineering efforts, cost report planning and purchase planning efforts and documents are prepared as scheduled and to the levels of quality and detail required.
The Estimator is responsible for all aspects of estimating the most complex and large-scale jobs, including pre-construction, hard bids, negotiated bids, budgets, general conditions, systems studies and comparisons, value engineering, subcontractor relations and staying abreast of industry developments applicable to estimating.
