The Technical Compliance Manager will partner with Quality Assurance and other departments to ensure that all Harbor Freight Tools products meet or exceed relevant regulations and standards, across a complex and diverse array of consumer product categories.
The senior manager will evaluate internal control design and effectiveness to make recommendations for improvement as needed. The senior manager prepares or participates in the preparation of the annual audit and monitoring plan, ensuring inclusion of relevant areas.
As the owner of Trade Compliance and Operations, you will provide global support and training to others involved with import/export activities, such development and on-going maintenance of all applicable documentation and procedures.
This position is responsible for US domestic tax compliance and reporting including preparing income tax provisions, preparing partnership and corporate income tax returns, and preparing detailed analysis for various tax planning projects.
The Sr. Compliance Auditor coordinates and supports requests for directed audits, received from senior management and other customer/business partner groups; supports inspection readiness, external inspections, and other quality and compliance projects; and performs other assigned duties, as needed.
In this role, the selected candidate will execute as a key resource to all Business Unit locations in providing functional knowledge, support, and solutions for the integrity of global operations and quality resolution of import/export issues throughout regional locations and clients.
