The Clinical Nurse B performs nursing process with minimal supervision and seeks assistance as necessary. Utilizes discretion and independent judgment in applying the nursing process to the provision of age-specific and developmentally appropriate quality patient care.
The Clinical Research Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) who works collaboratively with physicians, Clinical Research Associates (CRA) and pharmacists to coordinate care for an assigned population of patients who are enrolled in to IRB clinical research trials.
May be required to participate in on-call rotation based on department business needs. May be required to serve in shift coordinator role upon completion of shift coordinator orientation. Performs other duties as needed.
Participates in patient and family teaching by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care providers in maintaining standards for the Professional Nursing Practice in the clinical setting.
The Registered Nurse provides quality-nursing care in accordance with the California Nurse Practice Act, incorporates Perioperative care modalities and utilizes the nursing process, based on evidence-based outcomes to meet patient care needs.
The Clinical Nurse II consistently demonstrates professional skills and abilities, utilizes his/her knowledge base and proficient skills to direct and supervise the clinical performance of others in the role of collegial consultant and resource person.
