This Practice Leader position will be primarily responsible for leading a department of professionals to assist clients with the implementation of the new revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 842) standards.
Responsible for managing the revenue / licensing accounting, rights management, analysis and reporting processes, and ensures all controls and policies around revenue recognition are in place for Consumer Products and Interactive.
Starting as a Staff Accountant, you will be exposed to basic accounting procedures and principles ranging from accounts payable and receivable systems to financial statement, preparation, and analysis.
The Accounting team is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to assist in all facets of the corporate accounting process. This individual will report to the Accounting Manager and will play an integral role in both the day-to-day accounting functions and the month-end close process.
In this role, you will research and resolve complex accounting issues balancing client preferred solutions within the confines of the US GAAP structure. Common complex accounting areas include revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, preferred stock, business combinations, and consolidation.
Collects and analyzes financial data and supports the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and reports; performs additional analysis for explanatory text required for reports and statement.
In this role, the selected candidate will prepare reconciliations, review and code invoices, close books, prepare financial statements, organize financial reports and interface with other accountants and lawyers.
Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of company employees. Must demonstrate judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external customers as well the ability to handle confidential and proprietary information.
This position is responsible for the full-cycle of accounts payable including processing expense reports, supporting the month-end accounting close, and assisting with general ledger account reconciliations.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for preparing cost analysis for the SIS Brea location of product and process improvement initiatives, support of annual budget preparation, periodic forecast preparation and analysis of actual/standard cost analysis.
