The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for all measures include all inventory transactions, gross margin analysis, cost of goods sold variances, cost comparisons and other ad hoc projects. The Senior Cost Accountant directly interfaces with the manufacturing and engineering teams on product costing.
The Senior Accountant will work on the clients general accounting functions including: month and quarter-end close, preparation and analysis of financial reports, consolidation, journal entries, fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliation, inventory, and intercompany transactions.
In this role, you will be supporting senior management, investor relations, treasury, legal, corporate strategy & financial planning, compensation & benefits and external auditors. The selected candidate will prepare and review of journal entries, account reconciliations and consolidated financial statements.
Assist in establishing and implementing consistent cost accounting policies, methods and practices for the company; provide oversight to the development of bills of material and establish systems to ensure their maintenance.
Applying professional accounting principles, responsible for more complex accounting activities related to timely maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resulting managerial reports and financial statements.
The Senior Accountants will monitor compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures along with reviewing, investigating and correcting errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
