The Project Engineer will work as part of a team to develop new and innovative automotive refinish spray equipment. Key responsibilities of this position include researching, designing and developing, testing and documentation of new products.
In this role, you will be responsible to participate in the planning of personnel safety and protection activities consistent with osha/iosha and regulatory agency standards and guidelines and ensure all reporting associates are trained and comply.
In this role, you will be responsible for analyzes and designs new products with the ability to mitigate the effects of thermal, mechanical stresses and vibration present in the customer's applications through innovative design approaches.

The successful candidate is responsible for collaborating with Process Engineering, Environmental, Inspection, Rotating Equipment, Electrical and Controls groups on design issues as well as operations on facility start-up. Also required is technical support in the areas of instrumentation and electrical for projects assigned to other engineers.
Designs and/or improves products considering manufacturability, quality and cost with a thorough understanding of design tools and methods; reviews and approves work done by associate and design engineers.
Develop various inspection techniques and procedures to ensure product integrity to design specifications; responsible for the writing, approval and implementation of Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection procedures.
You will oversee activities of junior Application Developers, as applicable and provide individuals with constructive feedback; coach staff in technical matters and delivering on other job-related responsibilities; and promote effective teamwork.
Create technical design recommendations for developing and integrating new software and system technologies from the physical layer through to the virtual layer per written specifications; test, evaluate, engineer, implement and support said technologies.
