This position is responsible for providing professional quality engineering service and technical support involving technical quality, in-process quality, and customer service. Supports total quality program to improve cost, productivity, yields and customer requirements.
The Quality Engineer will champion action plans to address significant customer or plant quality issues. They will lead strategic initiatives targeting product and process improvements, manage trial runs of proposed design or process changes and implement process improvements in the fabrication area.

In this role, the selected candidate analyzes test results to ensure quality standards are met and the software meets/exceeds documented business requirements. Submits potential deficiencies into the Defect Tracking System; interfaces with configuration analysts, application developers and service to resolve possible deficiencies to ensure exit/entry criteria is met and conforms to design and business requirements.
In this role, the selected candidate will be monitoring and reporting on the implementation status of the Project Quality Management System and its effectiveness; working closely with other groups to support timely reviews of documents or issues requiring QA action.
In this role, you will lead problem solving regarding internal and external customer concerns utilizing tools including 8D, Issue to Prevention, Six Sigma... all driving to understanding Root Cause - implementing corrective and preventative actions, and driving continuous improvement.
