In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional Electrical Engineering service and technical support to Maintenance and Operation departments for the re-design, modification, re-engineering and retrofitting of electrical equipment to improve quality and productivity.
In this position, you will work with, lead and mentor mechanics, electricians, and control technicians, and work with the training manager and department manager in designing and providing manufacturing support and technical skills to all personnel sufficient to meet the needs of the technically advanced manufacturing operations.
In this role, the selected candidate will investigate and analyze electrical problems, defines and scopes projects, makes engineering drawings or layouts, writes engineering reports, makes cost estimates, obtains bids, writes work orders, makes recommendations to management, obtains approval to purchase necessary equipment and materials, and works with Maintenance and Operations personnel to retro-fit and install.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible to researches, analyzes and calculates data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
The successful candidates will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate engineering courses specific to their specialty area online and/or in a traditional classroom setting, participate in service related activities, develop an externally funded research program in the applicable engineering field of expertise, advise graduate and undergraduate students, and publish research results in professional journals.
In this position you will perform Audio, Video and Control engineering functions and/or system programming as required to support the sales, design, installation and delivery of custom audio video systems.
In this role, the selected candidate will be primarily responsible for the engineering and design of building electrical systems (lighting, power, and limited special systems) for facilities such as K-12 and higher education, healthcare, hospitality and commercial buildings.
