In this role the Database Administrator will monitor company SQL servers and verify disaster recovery plans. The Database Administrator will also have a key responsibility in guarding against down time with proper design and implementation of configuration, upgrades and patches at the OS and database engine level.
The SQL Database Administrator performs regular database maintenance tasks such as index rebuilding, upgrades and storage management; in addition, they manage database availability, backup and recovery systems.
Reviews, develops, and designs data models using standard diagramming techniques, in conjunction with application teams; creates logical data models and translates into physical database structures that integrate with existing or proposed database structures.
The NoSQL Database Administrator performs regular database maintenance tasks such as index rebuilding, upgrades and storage management. In addition, this team member manages database availability and backup and recovery systems.
Provide efficient database environment to maximize productivity and improve performance; monitor file system space and database allocation; create, develop and review physical model created from the logical model, ensuring the detailed physical design of data structures complies with standards, guidelines, and procedures recommended for all aspects of data modeling, database design, and maintenance.
