Reviews requisitions and confers with departments regarding requirements, specifications, quantity and quality of merchandise, and delivery requirements; recommends alternate suppliers where a savings in cost or improved delivery will result.
The Industrial Engineer will develop and implement operation process improvement initiatives. He/she will be responsible for seeking out continuous improvement and cost savings opportunities, developing cost/benefit analysis for new processes and projects, and for delivering bottom-line results.
This position will have a strong customer interface and the ideal candidate will have the ability to influence others. Excellent relationship building and communication skills along with attention to detail is a must for this position.
In this role, the selected candidate will identify and implement activities using methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean; identify trends, report on performance, and continuously balance supply and demand will be an asset to the team.
Responsible for calling on contacts within producer organizations and Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) companies to identify future projects and capture business for new facility design, integration and construction projects.
This position will work closely with all other materials team members in the plant to ensure effective tactical material execution in the plant, communicating issues across the organization and working effectively to problem solve solutions.
