The Underwriting Analyst, under general direction and supervision, underwrites and approves applications up to authority limit for all risk classifications on own signature. In addition, analysis and recommendations, including major underlying assumptions, decision making processes and conclusions, are reviewed with management.
In this role, you will screen transactions to determine proper processing. Refer to underwriters those transactions that require their attention; complete transactions directly if within delegated authority limits.
In this position, you will develop and maintains a loan underwriting portfolio consistent with the Bank's guidelines for credit quality and Investor or Insurer standards. Approves and/or denies loans within certain limits and makes credit structure and loan eligibility decisions.
As an Area Underwriting Counsel with First American Title, you will provide underwriting support, counsel and authorization to company personnel, agents, and customers, related to the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies.
In this role, the selected candidate develops/maintains strong relationships and market presence with assigned producers and key accounts; maintains effective communication and visibility through phone calls and email to gather and analyze necessary information critical to the underwriting process and frequent field visits, to generate new business opportunities and improve policy renewal retention.
