Lead credit risk assessment projects of various consumer lending and payments business lines (credit card, auto, mortgage, home equity, etc.). Evaluates the soundness of credit policies and procedures and individual loan approval decisions.
Act as the conduit for information sharing, project planning, and delivery of related work products to ensure TCF Credit and Corporate Compliance and the business unit are in synch with expectations and results.
Reviews and understands operational risks and risk management processes in order to identify and monitor operational risks.Provides remediation suggestions and training as needed to business lines and/or 1st Line of Defense operational risk management teams.
Partners with leaders in their assigned Line of Business, Risk/Compliance/Audit (RCA) Consultants, and other RCA Managers to, depending on the function, oversee the successful creation, implementation, and maintenance of an effective risk management framework.
Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of liquidity risk management processes, including liquidity stress test processes and assumptions.
Assess whether liquidity risk management function complies with regulations, supervisory guidance, and sound business practices.
Develop and manage reporting mechanisms to aggregate information gleaned from all risk analysis sources in order to identify and evaluate compliance risk trends; share with Compliance business line managers and stakeholders, and provide consultation on mitigation/resolution.
