The position is also responsible for Document control, Quality assurance activities, such as corrective action / preventative action (CAPA), quality management team (QMT) meetings, quality related Training and Audits.
Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such as preparation of records of expenditures and progress reports, in order to inform management of current status or work activities.
Work with engineers for the implementation of quality programs, including improvement, standards, inspections, testing, warranty analysis, compliance, complaints, TS 16949 activities, gage control system.
Quality and EHS management experience and knowledge in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supplier is required. Appropriate skills and knowledge include TS16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, internal auditing, third-party audit coordination, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, statistically designed experiments, customer complaint investigations, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and all related EHS standards, tools and practices.
Participate in the deviation process to assure product quality is not adversely affected. Participate in design reviews; acts as an integral member of the supplier performance improvement team along with the Materials Manager.
The Quality Manager will be responsible for driving and promoting a system to assure that all products sold/manufactured to meet customer specifications, contractual and program quality and reliability requirements.
Responsible for establishing a continuous inspection, testing, analysis and problem resolution process to ensure quality standards can be met on a continuous basis in a large organization. Develop and lead the implementation of the quality assurance philosophy and strategies. Brings forward and develops quality improvement projects that results in cost and overall efficiency improvements.
