In this role, you will implement physicians' orders; administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures and special tests and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
The position is accountable to the Site Manager, the Compliance and Education Manager, Vice Presidents of Physician Services, the patients and families. Performs the primary functions of a Registered Nurse in coordinating the nursing team to perform efficiently and deliver excellent patient care.
The PCU RN performs patient care under the direction of the Charge Nurse, Clinical Coordinator/ Supervisor, and Nursing Director. The PCU RN provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient and in support of the Mission, Vision, and Philosophy of Nursing of Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Care is provided in a patient and family centered environment and in collaboration with physician and ancillary departments.
Maintains aseptic techniques and actively monitors situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique. Coordinates the operating room with respect to sterility, cleanliness, availability of functioning equipment and supplies.
As a Registered Nurse, you will ensure the nursing care plan is being followed. Working alongside Certified Nursing Assistants, you will work in collaboration with physicians and therapists to ensure the plan of care for the patient population.
