The Mechanical Engineer will design and specify HVAC, plumbing and other mechanical systems for commercial and industrial projects; plan, design, and engineer HVAC, air distribution, plumbing and piping systems.
The Mechanical Engineer will design and specify HVAC, plumbing and other mechanical systems for commercial and industrial projects; daily tasks will include performing design tasks, coordinating work with design and construction group, conducting field site surveys, systems assessments, creation of CAD-based plans, schematics, coordination of construction documents, equipment selection, load calculations, control diagrams, systems narratives, commissioning planning and execution, and specifications.
As a Project Engineer on a project, initial responsibilities would include on site trade coordination and management, coordination of material design, fabrication, delivery and installation, ongoing interaction with field supervision, management of cost and design issues (change orders, RFIs, document updates, etc.) and other responsibilities focused on overall project management and success.
This position is responsible for providing professional Mechanical Engineering service and technical support to Maintenance and Operation departments for the re-design, modification, re-engineering and retrofitting of machinery and equipment to improve quality and productivity.
Performs full range of standard work for the professional field. Refers complex, unusual problems to others. Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations.
