Will work in support of the FNL/NCI RAS Initiative with a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team of chemists, biochemists, structural and cell biologists, to develop and optimize agents for use as RAS inhibitors.
Contributing to ongoing architecture research efforts, building on new research directions, and validating ideas in customer settings; directing support activities to enable technical work and the activities of work study or graduate students as appropriate.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting research in collaboration with the sponsoring Staff or Senior Scientist. Functions as a technical or intellectual resource to the Staff or Senior Scientist.
Responsibilities include performing wetlands delineation identification and delineation, managing and mentoring environmental staff, developing federal and state permitting strategies and applications, managing and preparing environmental impact statements, as well as client and regulatory interaction.
The Support Researcher will monitor disease states in animal models, as well as perform microbiological and virology-based assays supporting research studies investigating host/pathogen interactions of high consequence viral pathogens at the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Integrated Research Facility located at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for process development, scale-up, technology transfer, establishing and optimizing commercial manufacturing processes for compounding and filling of solids, soft-chews, non-sterile liquids and sterile inject (aseptic manufacturing) platforms, as well as collaborating and partnering with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality organizations.
Gathering technical data from clients and through independent research, preparing air emission inventory reports and supporting calculations, completing toxic release inventory reports and supporting calculations, determining NSPS, NESHAP, and NSR/PSD requirements for emission sources, and assisting in preparing air permitting documents.
The individual will work as part of the Cell Biology R&D team to support ongoing projects within the Thermo Fisher product commercialization process under the Gibco brand with future growth opportunity for independent project leadership.
