The Database Developer is expected to be a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all database development related to software systems. This person must ensure tasks are completed on a mutually agreeable schedule, ensuring quality and adherence to project management, architectural, and other standards.
The selected candidate will conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
In this role, the selected candidate will develop complex ETL and analytics programs using SQL/HQL, stored procedures, SQOOP and various query tools and engines; responsible for software development in a database environment utilizing PostgreSQL, Hive and NoSQL technologies.
In this role, the selected candidate will design, deploy and monitor database servers; shall have experience in design issues for interfacing front-end servers to databases; and shall have experience with collaboration tools, for example, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server and/or Lotus Notes.
In this role, the selected candidate will plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements and designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
In this role, the selected candidate will analyze business systems requirements and design technical solutions based on those requirements; design, document, test, and implement application features and enhancements.
In this role, the selected candidate will create and test stored procedures and triggers with T-SQL; investigate and analyze data for various projects and report results in Excel spreadsheets or other formats.
