Plan and administer prescribed skilled physical therapy treatment and training for patients suffering from various injuries, illnesses and functional disabilities to attain highest level of physical function.
The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats residents, under orders from a physician, through the use of a variety of therapeutic procedures designed to restore loss of muscle strength, coordination and body alignment, to relieve pain and to improve movement and function. The Physical Therapist participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing support and information within the area of Physical Therapy.
The Physical Therapist identifies the need for and makes referral(s) to other disciplines to address the comprehensive needs of patients. He/she implements individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance.
Developing the IFSP (Individual Family Service Plan) in coordination with the IFSP Team. This entails developing Objectives and Goals specific to childs individual needs in one or more of the specified delayed areas.
