Collaborate with Senior Medical Director of Commercial Products and CMO of Commercial Services to engage all functional areas of the Health Plan from a clinical perspective, developing innovative approaches for the advancement of the Commercial product lines; serving as the primary clinical liaison with the Senior Medical Director of Commercial Products, Sales and Marketing.
In this role, you will delivers and manages clinical services directly at the plant medical office for u. S. Steel personnel including employee regulated exams such as osha surveillance exams, dot-fmcsa exams, fra exams, coast guard exams as well as mro services for dot and non-dot drug screens. Also health promotion, wellness, acute and minor illness care and emergency response.
The medical director oversees the medical utilization and review process, provides clinical supervision to peer advisors and collaboration with care managers and clinical supervisors; ensures the organizational objective to have qualified clinicians accountable to beacon health options (dba value behavioral health of pa) for decisions affecting members/consumers.
Collaborates with medical staff to monitor patient outcomes, set clinical quality priorities, and recommend/implement professional improvements and initiatives as well as unit-based patient safety initiatives.
In this role, you will be responsible for
managing a regional Medical Economics department. Provides leadership in managing overall medical costs, directs market and regional medical cost action plans, and participates in the development and maintenance marketable, high quality, cost effective provider networks. Key business partner in formulating market and regional network and medical management strategies. Maintains overall accountability for medical cost planning within the region.
