Respects and understands the patient's right to treatment and right to involvement in treatment decisions. Evaluates, tests, and administers therapy programs for each patient involving physical means, such as exercise, massage, heat, ice, water and electricity, as prescribed by the physician.
The registered occupational therapist provides direct rehab care in occupational therapy to patients upon physician referral in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and life care standards.
As an Occupational Therapist you will assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that help restore vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills, as well as general independence, to assist patients in reaching their maximum performance level.
In this role, you will provide therapeutic treatment and instruction to patients in accordance with physician orders to improve/restore strength, coordination, range-of-motion and function or teach compensation measures.
