In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, monitoring and continued adequacy and effectiveness of supplier quality systems. Ensures compliance of supplier products and processes with applicable specifications, standards and the quality system.
In this role, you will develop APQP quality plan and risk assessment activities including failure modes and effects analysis, tolerance stacks, and special characteristics, definition, and capabilities.
In this role, the selected candidate will conduct testing and dimensional layouts using mechanical and electrical inspection gages; prepare and audit procedures, records, and personnel requirements for inspection, testing, complaint handling, and vendor contact on quality problems.
In this role, the selected candidate will plan, perform or assist in complex supplier quality evaluations, audits, surveillance, document reviews and unique problem analysis; support other groups involved in such matters as quality related sales efforts and complying with quality standards.
In this role, the successful candidate must have the experience working for US Class I railroads (in railroad operations would be best) like UPRR, BNSF, NS, CSX, KCS, CN, CP or railroad OEMs like GE Transportation, EMD, Alstom, Bombardier.
