The Group Logistics Manager is typically responsible for multiple customer logistics accounts or one large customer account. It will include the management and improvement of services provided to customers, as well as the development and implementation of customer performance measurements.
In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain metrics with targets for key performance indicators for each area of responsibility; ensure the supply chain functions are operating safely and in sync with overall company and manufacturing plant strategies.
In this role, you will coordinate with Commercial / Legal / Contracts staff on exceptions to standard terms and conditions and advise Operations and procurement staff regarding acceptability of requested changes.
This position is responsible for coordinating all shipping, receiving, late point packaging, customer service functions, traffic, inventory control, storage and handling of both raw materials and finished goods. This position is responsible for managing the department/facility budget. The Distribution Center Manager has supervisory responsibility for distribution personnel.
The Manager of Global Logistics develops and implements domestic and international logistics (distribution, transportation, 3PL service providers, and customs compliance) strategies for Delta that will enhance customer satisfaction, reduce overall costs, and enable growth.
