The Supply Chain Engineering Manager will be responsible for analysis and utilization of continuous improvement methodology to lead the design of complex Supply Chain Solutions for current and future operations.
Responsible for training and monitoring performance of warehouse shipping and receiving employees. Ensure the Transportation and Warehousing staff understands the expectation for meeting performance standards.
Provide information to various managers in the Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service groups. Communication regarding inbound operations, inventory control, project(s) status, and priorities will be necessary.
Serve as a strategic partner to technology business area(s) by promoting early procurement engagement and facilitating collaboration among cross-functional stakeholders and risk partners for vendor sourcing activities; develop effective working relationships with key decision makers/influencers, executives, and subject matter experts.
This position will act as focal point for all communication in the purchasing of rail service and carrier selection, participating in negotiating of dedicated routes and identifying cost reduction or avoidance opportunities.
