As an Underwriter II, you will have working knowledge of residential mortgage underwriting guidelines and be responsible for the analysis of submitted files for repayment capacity, capital/assets, character, collateral and property condition, while adhering to Chase credit policies and investor/agency guidelines.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for processing of core functions through the underwriting lifecycle; develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external business partners.
The Underwriting Assistant will provide support to members of the Underwriting Department in the areas of quoting, day to day servicing of new and existing policyholders, routine follow-up for outstanding information, and completion of policy documents necessary for issuance.
In this role, the selected candidate must have the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments; strong analytical skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
The Associate Underwriter is responsible for drafting and distributing proposal document for existing clients using standard base rates with minor modifications which includes interpreting and evaluating risk submissions, developing rates and documenting underwriting assumptions.
