Responsible for understanding the many different businesses and business groups, their use of control panels, electrical components, electromechanical components, automation control, sensors & transducers.
Meet and strive to exceed the Divisions annual goals for PPV (Purchase Price Variance) Material Cost Reductions, VA/VE initiatives, customer score cards and other related metrics. Quantitatively measure progress against initiatives, communicate monthly forecasts and action status to business site leaders, while developing, executing and communicating corrective action plans to ensure the divisional sourcing goals are achieved.
Collaborate to develop a comprehensive supply chain strategy for the client, including sourced categories, category strategies, savings commitments, service improvement ideas, and transition or implementation plan.
Work independently with inside and outside counsel to negotiate and finalize corporate contracts; manage the performance of assigned corporate vendors, holding them accountable to chosen KPIs and service levels.
Ensure there is an effective communication process regionally with the supply chain, and there is clear yet simple process, avoiding information overload from different regional and global commodity leaders.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), ability to present to a VP or SVP level audience on a regular basis, ability to facilitate cross-functional team discussions and lead team to reach consensus decisions.
Demonstrates proven extensive knowledge and understanding using a "pull" continuous replenishment system with distributors/customers in order to increase frequency, speed, and quality of deliveries, implementing a "Cross Docking Distribution System" to significantly reduce warehousing costs and speed inventory turns.
