In this role, you will be directing and coordinating the daily, weekly, and monthly, activities of the accounting department staff, oversee the preparation of periodic financial and operational reports, statutory reporting and lead other special projects as assigned.
In this role, the selected candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented individual able to work with minimum supervision; must be able to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs.
The selected candidate will perform accounting research and assists with development of accounting policy related to new and existing accounting standards, SEC reporting and compliance, management reporting and general bank accounting issues.
In this role you will focus on processing accounting transactions related Life and Disability claims, perform reconciliations/balancing, handle collections on outstanding invoices for Employer FICA taxes and participate on various system projects. This role also has responsibility for answering escalated & complex questions for individual claimants and policyholders regarding W-2 services and tax regulations.
Perform basic accounting functions or responsibilities requiring general supervision. Utilize general accounting and financial principles and techniques and assist in obtaining, assembling, evaluating, interpreting, recording and analyzing financial data.
