The successful candidate will become part of a multi-contractor team working with several different government organizations within AMRDEC and will need to be comfortable with a fast-paced and dynamic design environment.
Provide first and second level technical and management support to the customer for the managed or hosted systems, provide engineering services for data integration and software configuration for power monitoring systems.
Support interfacing organizational disciplines such as mechanical, software, test, customer support, and product management; prepare source, binary, and documentation files for use in a manufacturing environment.
Preparation of engineering studies and reports. Preparation of material quantity estimates for test and/or design projects. Uses engineering computer aided design/computer aided engineering (CAD/CAE) tools. System troubleshooting and return-to-service.
Designs are implemented using VHDL for the following applications: gigabit serial interfaces, Radio Frequency (RF) and Electro-Optical (EO) DSP, controls, data links, embedded processing and processor interfaces.
The candidate will utilize this capability within the guidelines of the product safety process in support of product design, development, and validation of embedded Single Board Computers (SBC), EthernetSwitches, I/O, Sensor Processing cards and systems.
As a facilitator, the project engineer supports Biweekly meetings regarding NASA, NRO and/or NECT-related activities (e.g. ERB participation, information sharing etc.); the project engineer evaluates, tracks, and reports on Vulcan propulsion and engine issues and changes to support certification activities.
