The Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) is a vital part of an interdisciplinary team and performs medical laboratory procedures in Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Serology, Chemistry, Blood Bank and Microbiology for the use of diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of disease.
In this role, the selected candidate will perform and supervis those procedures which require a highly developed technical skill; coordinate and provides technical direction to the work activities of research staff engaged in projects.
Function in independent manner in composing scientific questions and the design, performing and interpretation and troubleshooting of experiments; delineate tumorigenesis pathways mediated by immune system using oncogene-driven lung cancer model.
Research efforts may require analyzing complex heterogeneous spatial and temporal business data sets; modeling large scale linear, nonlinear, and stochastic mathematical optimization models; and developing efficient optimization algorithms.
Develops and manages independent grant portfolio; Designs, develops, or adapts equipment used in experiments or research to obtain desired results;Performs and supervises those procedures which require a highly developed technical skill.
Designs and develops enterprise-wide data analysis and reporting solutions against data warehouses and other reporting repositories to help business users make decisions by identifying trends and patterns in stored operational data.
The successful candidate will have access to in-house computing and other resources at the LPI, and may negotiate access to the laboratory facilities of JSC-ARES, which includes materials analysis, high-TP experimental laboratory, and high-speed impact (gun) laboratory.
