In this role, you will manage all applicable accounting functions pertinent to specified accounting areas to ensure that the financial and operating activities of the district are properly documented, and recorded.
As a Sr. Manager of Accounting, you would be responsible for managing the activities of the enterprise funds accounting function. You will also be responsible for personnel management, managing the accuracy and maintenance of the general ledger accounts, financial statements, and policies and procedures that affect your department.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting teams and all aspects of financial statements, including to ensure that the internal controls, policies, SOX are in place.
This position will assist with mentoring and supervision for the accounting team and responsible for overseeing monthly close duties reviewing and posting journal entries, analytics, reviewing reconciliations and ensuring integrity of financial information and results through compliance
The Accounting Systems Manager will participate in analysis to identify gaps between current accounting under U.S. GAAP while providing remediation plans. Direct the Working Committee (Finance, Accounting and Tax managers) and Accounting Leadership to obtain feedback and agreement with recommended solutions, obtain support for changes, demonstrate technical features and identify/resolve issues in operation of the systems.
