The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of duties including coordination of the closing processes, general related accounting functions, and special projects related to the various entities within our organization.
Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls over the corporate accounting function; prepare monthly close, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and management reporting.
The Senior Accountant will serve as a member of the finance team; the position will be primarily responsible for day to day accounting and financial reporting activities at both the entity and consolidated levels.
Maintain current knowledge of new accounting pronouncements and regulations for assigned function(s) by identifying, recommending and assisting with the implementation of process improvements, procedure revisions, policy changes, etc. as necessary.
In this role, the Senior Accountant provides accounting, reporting, investment monitoring and oversight, tax planning and compliance, and other services to affluent individuals, families and executives and their businesses.
Identify and drive implementation of process improvements to maximize efficiency; interact with others, both within and outside the Company, to effectively analyze and reconcile their areas of responsibility.
Manage the retention and preparation of tax records, tax returns, and other required reports and assist in all aspects of the tax provision; complying with internal control procedures related to the Tax Function; and assessing the impact of the organization's tax liability.
