A diligent and driven Registered Nurse (RN) is currently being sought out by a premier healthcare organization for a rewarding Infection Control role on their staff. In this role, the Infection Control Nurse will oversee reporting of HAIs by approximately 35 hospitals.
The Registered Nurse/Nurse Educator practice in the expanded role as a Pediatric Diabetes Nurse Specialist to provide comprehensive diabetes related health care services to pediatric, adolescent and young adult patients in a collaborative practice.
The primary functions include providing technical nursing support and consultation to residential managers, teams and direct care staff regarding health and wellness needs of the supported individuals and to educate direct care staff in specific maintenance and preventive care methods.
Responsible for ensuring clinical trials are conducted in accordance with scientific, medical, and ethical principles, and within regulatory requirements/guidelines. Volunteer safety & accurate interpretation and execution of research protocols including multiple study activities.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide day to day guidance, support and direction to direct patient care staff, providing informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback input for the annual performance evaluation.
Demonstrate competency in core and unit specific clinical skills - Uses the nursing process to plan, implement, direct and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal patient outcomes - Must work collaboratively with all disciplines on assigned unit.
Provide direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day to day activities of the nursing assistants. Supervision must be in accordance with federal, state, local laws, and the policies of the facility.
In this role, the Quality Improvement Nurse (RN) will be responsible for assisting the Quality leadership in the overall implementation and monitoring of the quality program for health plans line of business.
