Understanding of product design, test methods, and mechanical testing. Knowledge of cGMP and ISO standards. Experience working in a lab environment, including working knowledge of mechanical test equipment, basic chemical hazards and digital balances. Mechanical engineering background preferred.
This international technology company specializes in products for the Defense and Aerospace industries. They are located North of Boston and are seeking technically skilled Mechanical Engineers with a strong focus on design.
Management responsibilities include supervision of design and drafting staff, coordination with clients and associates, and organization of design and construction administration activities to meet established schedules and budgets.
Direct laboratory efforts (including documentation of test procedures, data analysis, reports) to evaluate performance of new products. Analyze design options for cost, quality and reliability trade-offs.
Work with the production plant to assure timely and proper installation and qualification of the capital equipment occurs, program expectations are met (financial and performance) and a smooth and effective hand-off is realized.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to navigate MS Office tools, web based systems and quickly learn and adapt to complex systems and product independencies to accomplish pointed tasks is an absolute requirement.
Develop the required documentations during the development and for transfer to production (models, detail drawings, diagrams, BOM, assembly procedures, etc.). Generate meticulous, detailed, and thorough documentations.
Coordination with design, performing producibility review, generating work instructions and ordering tooling to execute fabrication or procurement of airframe details, assemblies and installations to support black hawk programs.
