The Senior Manager, Category Planning is responsible for item planning, purchasing, inventory management, and merchandise analysis for assigned product categories. Responsible for merchandise replenishment.
Collaborate across departments to drive business goals (departments include Promotions & Email Planning, Marketing & Advertising, Site Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Product Management, Supplier Operations, PR, Customer Service, Business Intelligence).
This successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders in the regional hubs to develop effective cost reduction strategies and change management plans. The MRO Category Manager will capture savings through consolidating global company-wide purchasing volume and applying total cost of ownership levers to reduce cost and mange contracts with suppliers.
The position is responsible for providing financial and business analysis (e.g. Data mining of Procurement & Financial Systems, output analysis & interpretation), supporting regional specific market intelligence in the category area and acting as the focal point for category subject matter expertise to the regional business and procurement community.
