The successful candidate will participate in application design and development discussions with clients to determine client needs and ensure that product adheres to established specifications and standards; identifies issues and recommends alternative courses of action.
Develops and directs the delivery of software programs including design, build and test in various software technologies, application programs in accordance with a specified business need and in a way that achieves the development goals for assigned projects.
The Senior SW Engineer conducts extensive software testing developing test plans & test case scenarios to maximize the efficiency of the code, utilizes sound SW Configuration Management (CM) to capture & track updates for an existing SW products and to maintain a data repository of code functions & objects.
You will develop, perform and maintain the operational procedures for effective creation, testing and distribution to all government furnished equipment (GFE) workstations of new and updated COTS or Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) software updates, service packs, versions, and possibly total replacement. New or major updates to the operating system, known as images, will be periodically updated.
Responsible for the day to day operations of all in-house developed, open source, and commercial DevOps tooling owned by the team (Ensuring system availability, performance, capacity, and monitoring through proper response to incidents, events and problems).
Develop C++ as assigned and scheduled by a Lead Engineer, including the following aspects of code development: design, implement, debug, document and maintain; adhering to the projects coding standards (for example, commit process, version control, documentation, and so on).
