A Sr. Systems Engineer will provide System Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to government leaders; participates in government contracting actions and assists in managing large enabling technology acquisitions that support multiple government customers.
Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems, and information technology related responsibilities including design, development, and analysis of computer systems or programs based on and related to user or system design specifications; applying systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.
A successful candidate will work as a senior engineer providing support to a big data environment. The successful candidate will work with the engineering team to design and deliver solutions that meet customer requirements.
In this role, the selected candidate will work directly with Microsoft PFEs/Vendor, Engineering and DTF on improvements of the DTE Solution; identify issues and create improvement processes to help with the reduction of incident outage times.

The successful candidate will work within the team and lead the development, design, documentation and test requirements for a Multi-Level Security (MLS), High Performance Compute (HPC) environment. The successful candidate will interface with the customer, R&D users, program manager, system administrators and TUS software teams to define these requirements.
The candidate will be responsible to go through security controls for DTRA packages, technical checks, HBSS (Host Based Security System), complete OSD Scorecards, POA&M (Plan of Action and Milestones) management, categorization and write documentation.
Review, track and guide external autonomy programs, research and development efforts, assess adequacy and maturity, define and design evaluation metrics, provide recommendations based on sponsor provided objectives and requirements.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that security guidance flows from the PM to the developer for satisfying the requirements to deliver the system, to include the schedule for delivering a certified and accredited system.
