As part of the Enterprise Operational Risk group, the Operational Risk Manager will be responsible for managing risk and controls with respect to the firms operations and financial statements through 2nd line of defense oversight role, ensuring 1st line of defense has adequate controls, risk reporting and analysis in place.
The Enterprise Risk Management division (ERM) functions as a 2nd Line of Defense, responsible for independent assessments and oversight of risks across the company, including credit, market, model, and operational risk.
In this position,you will have knowledge and experience auditing, reviewing, or working with Federal business processes such as funds management, budget execution, receivables management, disbursements, property management, human resources, financial reporting, and grants management.
In this role you will assist in identifying problem accounts, work with the assigned account managers to mitigate the risk of cancellation or future disservice and serve as a point of contact for the customer if they, or the account manager, requests escalation internally.
In this role, you will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, superb integrative thinking across the facets of operational risk, and a desire to help the enterprise properly manage operational risk.
In this role, the selected candidate will partner with other risk and compliance organizations across the Company to support proactive identification, assessment, monitoring and testing of potential risks and compliance requirements.
In this role, you will coordinate, plan and deliver audit objectives and scope of work especially focusing on complex banking, capital markets, asset management or insurance systems, work with the team and the client to perform risk assessments, design innovative audit approaches, plan engagement objectives, manage the execution of field work and draft and deliver audit reports while complying with professional standards and addressing the risks inherent in the engagement
In this role, you will oversee development of operating and personnel budgets. Monitors spending for adherence to budget plans, develops and recommends variances. Performs and/or oversees budget analysis.
In this role, you will be responsible for new approval and annual recertification of the counter parties and includes a senior leadership role involved in monitoring quality of loan originations, investor repurchase exposure and overall credit risk within the correspondent lending channel. Leads a team of six analysts and supervisor.
