The Junior Network Administrator is responsible for support the network infrastructure (including but not limited to the WAN, LAN, physical, and logical infrastructure) through installation, maintenance, administration, and support.
In this role, you will analyze voice; video; radio-frequency; and/or data communications networks; including planning; designing; evaluating; selecting; and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators; bridges; and other devices.
In this role, you will be responsible to maintain network user documentation including hardware or software applications, support logs and other related information. Researches and recommends network and server hardware and software for large complex networks.
The systems administrator will work with a team of other systems administrators, cyber security engineers and cyber security analysts to ensure continuous availability and integrity of the ESIM system.
In this role, you will plan and coordinate installs of new computer and network equipment and technologies; provide support for information systems and network systems in remote locations, as well as local support.
The Individual shall monitor network equipment power and environmental control equipment, including the environmental support systems and notify appropriate VA personnel (in accordance with the VAs incident notification scheme) when any of this equipment fails and/or does not appear to be performing adequately.
In this role, the selected candidate will advise and make recommendations to management concerning infrastructure and related LAN issues, follow ITIL based process and procedures and escalate for technical assistance.
