The Director, Business Development provides business growth support for the service lines and related programs at IGL that aligns with organizational vision and goals. S/he coordinates growth initiatives, operational projects, client relations, and development of service line programs and services in collaboration with all Inova departments, units, and hospitals.
In this role, you will be responsible for all areas of the Customer Engagement Process (CEP) including identification, qualification, pursuit, and capture of new business opportunities within the Space and Intelligence Community (IC).
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for growing the sales pipeline by building and leading a team of Enterprise Account Executives who successfully deliver on their respective software sales goals.
The director of business development must have good understanding and key relationships with the customer. Specific areas of focus will include the increase in sales and awards of digital platforms, application development, data analytic, cyber security, and other mission support and it services.
Work with Americas Sales team to build sufficient pipeline, accurately forecast on opportunities and ensure to have team keep this updated on salesforce.com (SFDC) to hit target based on the current pay plan (to be measured against current gap and period to YE) (Drive for Results).
The Business Development Director will execute business development activities across early phases of the BAP, leading to opportunity qualification, and will maintain knowledge of current market conditions to help define strategic goals, build customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and create organic growth opportunities.
