Works closely with senior engineers in researching, developing, and evaluating solutions to unique problem sets. Test and evaluate potential commercial solutions, identify gaps, recommend modifications and changes to address caps, integrate capabilities with legacy and future systems.
Prepare data acquisition and instrumentation for verification and validation activities including setup, installation and calibration; Interpret data acquisition and instrumentation specifications along with test equipment requests and determine best equipment for the application.
The Test Engineer will work as part of a team of Mechanical Engineers, Systems Engineers, Hardware Technicians, and Field Service Technicians, Software Engineers, Systems Administrators, Database Administrators/Architects, Network Engineers and Subject Matter Experts.
The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic team environment, responsible for creating and maintaining automation frameworks and test suites that certify product quality and rapidly uncover defects.
The successful applicant will support improvements in the design and implementation of testing methods; Review and evaluate requirements to assure verifiability of requirements; Document issues observed during testing and support root cause analysis investigations; Perform technical analysis of complete systems and provide inputs for system level evaluations.
Leads application automation and testing of large scale mission critical systems. Applies expertise in programming to build and evolve test frameworks and methodologies to support quality and reliability of our systems.
In this role, the selected candidate must have a strong experience with structured Software Development Life Cycle and Quality Assurance processes, preferably with the Rational Unified Process (RUP); experience with CMM, or CMM/I.
