Work with developers, system engineers, and data characterization teams to produce and execute end-to-end, operational, and performance tests. Take responsibility and ownership for leading releases through their respective gate 3 deliveries, ensuring compliance with standards and requirements.
This position performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products. This position performs software design typically across multiple systems; mentors more-junior members of the team; and talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.
Conduct research into and apply knowledge of Government test and evaluation concepts and related engineering activities; provide clear and concise documentation to support the system development process.
Review business requirements with project teams to propose and produce technical documentation such as data architecture, data modeling, data dictionary, source to target mapping with transformation rules, ETL data flow design, and test cases.
Estimate and scopes development tasks, and makes recommendations for innovations and improvements relating to software component designs, including reviewing the work of team members completing elements of designs.
The successful candidate will provide technical advice ( to include training, guidance, and support ) to KAI engineers while guiding concept development through the appropriate application of tools and techniques to achieve a design solution that meets customer needs.
