The Senior Technical Writer is to clearly communicate and coordinate technical writing efforts involving contingency and crisis-action plans, standard operating procedures, briefings, memorandums, business documents, management documents and data.
The Senior Technical Writer will serve as a key member of the Communications team and will drive the editing and revision of all key deliverables, communications and correspondence material within a high profile Department of Defense (DoD) office.

Support team of 7 developers in the generation, refinement, and maintenance of developer documentation, knowledge bases, wiki organization, development sync meeting minutes and action items, etc. for more effective and efficient customer and community communication. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, a must.
In this role, the selected candidate will assist proposal managers and capture managers in developing/maintaining and communicating storylines, schedules (including review and production phases), plans, outlines, assignments, baselines, and storyboards to the team.
In this role, you will plan and prepares the data for major publication projects. Analyze requirements, develop source material, consult engineering and technical staff and work with editors, illustrators and the like in preparing a draft.
In this role, you will write, rewrite and/or edit technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications. The selected candidate will communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences.
In this role, the selected candidate will manage the narrative development lifecycle including kickoff and checkpoint meetings with stakeholders, narrative reviews, production timelines, and quality assurance.
In this role, you will develop outlines and drafts for review and approval by technical specialists and project management ensuring that final documents meet applicable contract requirements and regulations.
