This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation of federal, state and local income tax returns. Assists with special projects, responds to tax inquiries and assists the property and sales use tax functions.
The CPA, Senior Tax Accountant will be an experienced tax professional with a minimum of 5 years exposure preparing individual and small business income tax returns. Estate and Trust return experience is a huge plus but not required. Our client is seeking someone who is looking for the next step in their career and seeking upward mobility.
This position is responsible for assisting the Tax Manager with various tax filing and reporting obligations of the Firm including VAT, sales and use tax, personal property tax and tax residency certifications as well as assisting with data collection and review of materials for the Firms US federal and state returns as needed.

In this role, you will be responsible for
income tax compliance functions on federal, international. State and local levels. Functions include preparing and analyzing schedule ms, preparing and/or reviewing tax return workpapers on an annual basis, reviewing fixed asset tax books, researching tax issues, coordinating tax audits, and other tax compliance related to the other entities, benefit plans, and charitable organizations associated with the company.
In this role, the selected candidate will prepare workpaper schedules analyzing activity in virtually all general ledger accounts and apply procedures as required by the type of engagement to the data included on the workpaper.
