Primary responsibility is design and development of fiber optic modules. This includes simulation, modeling, analysis, design and characterization of optical and electrical performance of fiber optic transceivers and transponders.
Design, code, test, and implement web sites and applications, for either internal or external uses; troubleshoot and resolve issues surrounding performance, response times, capacity and system limitations.
Must have experience in developing test methods and test requirements for automatic test of systems, assemblies and subassemblies; requires Test software development experience with National Instruments TestStand, LabWindows CVI and LabVIEW.
In this role, the selected candidate will design maintainable, elegant, and lasting solutions to meet a wide variety or requirements and feature sets while working closely with a team of highly skilled engineering professionals to develop world class products for the end user.
Experience with the design of digital and analog circuits for compact low power communications devices is required. Expertise must include the design of products integrating RF, analog, DSP, and microcontroller components.
This position requires strong C/C++/C# programming skills and experiences in equipment related software development, along with the knowledge in motion control, machine vision, data acquisition and analysis, and test instrument control.
The successful candidate will assist with defining specifications for software programming applications and maintains existing programs to ensure continued performance and compliance with current requirements and standards.
Desired experience or interest in the design and construction of emerging or alternate mechanical system. Desiredexperience or interest with sustainable building design and building simulation energy modeling.
