The Payroll Manager uses an understanding of the Universitys in-house payroll system to accurately pay employees in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, such as the IRS rules and regulations and the FLSA laws.
Manages the payroll function ensuring quality and timely processing of payroll activities to include: timecards and payroll processing, compilation of payroll statistics, reconciliation of payroll tax payments, filings and returns, annual W2 Forms, and all levels of record maintenance.
In this role, you will ensure that Center Salary Expense is at the appropriate budgeted level. Control Nursing and non-Nursing Department Labor Spend by reviewing potential leakage points daily and at pay period end to minimize overpayment of premium pay (overtime and agency) through effective timekeeping and payroll strategies.
In this role, you will serves as the principal lead for payroll by partnering with HRIS to identify, track, research, resolve, communicate and implement fixes, including data audits and payroll testing.
