Under the general supervision of the Director of Inpatient Services, the educator is responsible for orientation, staff development and continuing education for staff in patient care areas serving all age groups.
The Nursing Practice Educator acts as the lead for the co-ordination and management of all educational activities in the Center. Additionally, the primary focus of the Nursing Practice Educator is to assist and support the translation of the Genesis nursing philosophy into practice by leading the planning, implementation and evaluation of education to enhance the knowledge and skills of caregivers. He or she will provide expertise in clinical nursing skills and knowledge application.
Deliver training sessions to new hires and existing staff that successfully transfers learning from the classroom back to the job in order to facilitate appropriate delivery of benefits and/or health information.
The Oncology Nurse Educators primary role is educating and training Oncology nurse customers in the delivery of Oral Lung Cancer therapies, patient treatment management and related support in the Oncology market place.
Provide educational support to identified patients on the infusion technique for approved medication and provide ongoing support to support adherence to therapy and ensure patients are connected to the appropriate support services offered by the client.
Assess the needs of patients with diabetes and designs and implements and evaluates, individualized teaching plans for these patients; integrate knowledge, skills and experience to meet the needs of the patients and families.
This RN Nurse Educator will be responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of orientation, basic and advanced education programs and specialized courses for all levels of nursing personnel.
