Responsible for the day-to-day operation of computer networks including hardware/software support, training, and special projects; plans, designs and implements data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems.
In this role, the selected candidate will analyze network activity and network problems to Client and prevent systematic errors; recommends network design changes/enhancements for improved systems availability and performance.

The Manager, Network Services is responsible for management, oversight, and support of the Network Services team within Information Technology. The Network Services team provides design, installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance activities for all data, voice, and video network services.
Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
Manages the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of the organization's local area networks and wide area networks; monitors the performance and security of fiber networks and related elements to ensure consistently strong reliability.
In this role, you will be Monitoring and managing the health and status of Record MessagingSystems and world-wide communications/hardware and software applications,troubleshoots and performs corrective action on LAN/CAN/WAN/Messaging devices,networks.
The Individual shall monitor network equipment power and environmental control equipment, including the environmental support systems and notify appropriate VA personnel (in accordance with the VAs incident notification scheme) when any of this equipment fails and/or does not appear to be performing adequately.
Support system operations, maintenance and engineering including the Virtual Infrastructure, server management, troubleshooting complex issues, implementing complex technologies, performing upgrades to systems, deploying new systems, creating, documenting and updating standards/policies/procedures, designing/promoting system improvements, and providing recommendations for enhancement to the computing environment.
