The Associate Mechanical Engineer will be responsible within the integrated product team for the Mechanical Engineering electronics packaging and integrated electronics design and development using state of the art computer aided design and analysis software.
In this role, you will perform engineering work concerned with the design, evaluation, planning, testing and operation of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and/or computer components, equipment and systems for commercial, government, military and/or scientific uses.
The responsibilities of the position include providing engineering, analysis, operations, and maintenance support for mechanical/HVAC equipment and infrastructure at complex pharmaceutical R&D facilities.
The position responsibilities will include general shop follow, program support, problem resolution, manufacturing cell support, supplier interface, development of product structures, design changes, return requisition resolution, program obsolescence management, and Diminishing Manufacturing (DMS) resolution.
Develop and maintain AEGIS combat system equipment arrangement and interface drawings and other documentation for shipbuilding contract packages; review vendor Installation Control Drawings, develop Technical Data Package products, and generate as-built drawings.
In this role, the selected candidate will coordinate, direct and lead engineering efforts to ensure optimum engineering of projects/programs to meet schedule requirements for the installation of additional production lines in sheeting irradiation and foam.
The Engineer will support the Integrated Mechanical Diagnostic System (IMDS) on the development and implementation of inflight alerts for affecting safety of flight for subsystem components. This work will involve the continual refinement of contractor developed and maintained IMDS algorithms tracking vibration signatures affecting aircraft components.
