The System Administrator to support multiple programs using a shared software baseline. While working in a team of system and network administrators, the position will be the primary administrator for select programs and the backup for the other programs that share the baseline.
Candidate will be part of a team maintaining providing support and improving the reliability and performance of the customers systems. Candidate may be required to be on-call and respond to after hour requests.
Proven experience in configuring, deploying, and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) for cloud applications. Experience in Identity Federation solutions such as CA SiteMinder Federation is a plus.
Establishes and maintains user accounts, assigns file permissions and establishes password and account policies; installs, upgrades, configures, tests, maintains and supports operating system software in a production environment.
The role of a Senior Systems Administrator Journeyman is to facilitate the transition of groups of end users to an enterprise virtual desktop system. This involves participation as a member of a full transition team, communicating with the Government and project management, and directly interfacing with users and their management at individual sites.
Provide training on supporting IT systems and apparatuses needed for installation and implementation. You will learn how to perform technical assistance, training, and how to resolve problems for customers in person, via telephone, or in writing.
Experience with build outs of Windows 7, 8, 2008 R2 Server and Linux using vSphere client and console. Experience with Administering Active Directory Clustered server environment such as failover, DNS services, patching using WSUS etc.
The server administrator is also responsible for capacity planning, providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of servers. Also, managing server infrastructure and any processes related to these systems, providing support to servers including: day-to-day maintenance, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the related problems.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all SharePoint systems, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as database backups.
