Design, develop, modify and evaluate electronic parts, components and integrated circuitry for multi-million dollar capital equipment, or other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications used in semiconductor manufacturing.
Work duties will be divided between an office environment and the production floor. Employee will be required to wear all plant-mandatory PPE when on production floor, including: hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots and ear protection.
The Automation Engineer will deliver high level automation technology and engineering expertise for all operating areas at the plant site. Strategic involvement with initiating and driving optimization and improvements for automation/ control (PLC, DCS) processes and lead all design and related engineering aspects of projects.
Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
Develops, applies, revises, and maintains quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements. Writes inspection procedures. Reviews and evaluates in-process rejections and implements corrective action as needed. Participates in audits. May provide technical support to inspection personnel.
Understand the business problem being solved and understand how to evaluate the solution to that problem.Plan and drive test execution efforts with the goal of building concrete automated regression test coverage suites, reducing test time and improve defect identification.
Apply technologies involving papacitive, potentiometric, magnetostrictive and ultrasonic sensors; switches; transmitters; transducers; solenoid valves; and relays controlled by Programmable Logic to capital equipment used in industrial processes.
